The Melaka River Cruise was formerly a river flowing through the city of Malacca as a meeting point between the east and the west.
Along the river you will see the Morten Village, a Museum which showcases a village that has been existing for more than 400 years. There are many other sightseeing places including Eye on Malaysia and chatay movie theater. For sure you will enjoy and find this journey interesting.
Getting there
By Car:
- Take approximately 2 hours. However the duration does vary depending on the traffic. If by Grab, the cost for a one-way journey from the hotel to the Malacca River Cruise will cost about RM 185 excluding toll fares.
By Bus:
- Firstly, you have to take the Monorail at Bukit Bintang Station (about 5 minutes walk from our hotel) and stop at Hang Tuah Station for an interchange to the LRT service line.Then you must take LRT Putra Heights and stop at Bandar Selatan. Then take approximately 2 minutes walk to reach Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) by accessing the linked bridge.
- You can buy the ticket (From TBS to Melaka Sentral) at the counter or kiosk machine (self service). The journey will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes and the bus is a non stop or direct service to the station.
- Upon arrival at Melaka Sentral, you then can take a taxi or GrabCar to Malacca River. The Grab fare might cost around RM 8 to RM 10 and it will take about 7 to 10 minutes.
